Structuring Your Family Coven and FWC

Family Wiccan Communities™ (FWCs) are suggested to have a simple structure.  There can be five points of service on a committee that coordinates the efforts of the FWC. It is suggested that Family Covens™ take turns administrating these five Points of Service, serving for one to two years. These five Points of Service (PoS) are:

Support & Resources (East). This Point of Service keeps a running list of things that the FWC needs and secures those items through donation or by holding fundraisers to see that the needs are met. They also coordinate canned food drives, the Pagan Closet and/or other community outreach programs. The Pagan Closet is an effort in which material things that are no longer used by one Family Coven™ are recycled for use by another Family Coven™ . Items like children’s clothes, baby items and anything else that is still usable but not needed.  This Point of Service also directs efforts for moving and meals to sick or injured persons in the community.

Kitchen Witching (South). This Point of Service coordinates organizing and providing food goods for all events where food is being served.  The focus of this Point of Service is not only serving food but magical food that is charged with health and blessings for those who participate.

Healing (West). This Point of Service helps the community learn how to heal their bodies, minds and spirits through holistic and natural approaches. They are the persons who are contacted when a member is sick, injured or hospitalized.  Their service includes energy work, herbal remedies, aromatherapy and healing stones.  This Point of Service presents classes on holistic health and herbal remedies, as well as ensuring that members get the holistic help they desire when sick.

Children’s Grove (North). This Point of Service is committed to ensuring that there is time, space and activities for the children.  This PoS might coordinate a Spiral Scout Troup or just organize kid-friendly events. They are the key PoS when it comes to Coming of Age rites for children of the FWC.

Web Communications (Spirit). This Point of Service is committed to communication between Points of Service, the Family Wiccan Community™members and FWTI™. This PoS ensures that birthday cards, anniversary cards and special recognition is given as needed.  This PoS manages communal resources like a FWC Library or FWC Herb Closet that provides loan or materials for spells or illness.  This PoS sends out reminders as needed for events and are the scribes of the Family Wiccan Community™.
