Family Wiccan Communities™
Family Wiccan Communities™ are groups of Family Covens™ that agree to have events, seminars, special guest speakers, training sessions and Sabbat celebrations together. Family Wiccan Communities™ can meet as frequently or infrequently as the participating Family Covens™ desire. Family Wiccan Communities™ can be as formal or informal as the group desires. An elected facilitator who is responsible for communication between FWTI™ and the community, oversees the day to day function of the Family Wiccan Communities™.
Two or more Family Covens™ can form Family Wiccan Communities™.
Family Wiccan Communities™ agree to uphold the Family Wiccan Traditions International, Inc.™ Pledge and devote themselves to providing a real environment for Pagan families to meet, grow, learn and develop their own Family Covens™. In exchange, Family Wiccan Communities™ receive special discounts on FWTI™ events, seminars and workshops, as well as receiving a free Web page to help promote their community and special continuing education materials available through the Family Wiccan Community™site.
What FWCs Do
Family Wiccan Communities™ (FWC) are bound together to provide a network of support for families who follow an earth based spiritual path. FWCs hold Sabbats that the entire family can enjoy and might even coordinate special adult-only events complete with babysitting services so that parents can have some special time together.
They host classes, no more than two per month, that walk participants through a 1st Degree Course of Study. This course allows participants to attend class, and at the end of the program receive their 1st Degree. Typically, FWCs will work out some arrangement so that children are cared for and having a good time during these classes.
FWCs Do Not
FWC’s do not hold Full Moon celebrations. However, if a Family Coven™ desires to host a Family Moon and invite other Family Covens™ to join them, that is their perogative. It is recommended by FWTI™ that those events remain separate from the work that the Family Wiccan Community™ does.
FWCs do not give initiations past the 1st Degree.
